Need help finding someone to carpool with? Want to know what options are available to you? FAU’s transportation partner, South Florida Commuter Services, offers a Carpool Matching service that can help you find someone to share the ride with.
 
Complete a simple profile and you will receive a FREE list of possible carpool partners. Sign up now to provide us with information about your current commute. SFCS will then provide you with your customized list of names and contact information.

BCT is Broward County’s public bus system. Over 15 routes connect to the BCT Central Terminal, which is on the northwest corner of Broward Blvd and Brickell Ave, within walking distance of the FAU Fort Lauderdale Campus.

Tri-Rail

Tri-Rail is the Tri-County commuter rail system. Tri-Rail has 18 stations along the eastern corridor of South Florida, operating from Mangonia Parking Palm Beach County to the Miami Airport in Miami-Dade.
 
The Fort Lauderdale Tri-Rail Station is located on the West side of I-95 on Broward Blvd. To get to campus from the Tri-Rail Station, take the FL1 Shuttle on weekdays, and the Sun Trolley Tri-Rail Connector on weekends. Broward County Transit (BCT) Routes # 9, # 22, and # 81 all provide connection between the Fort Lauderdale Tri-Rail Station and the BCT Central Terminal, which is near the corner of Broward Blvd and Andrews Ave.

EMERGENCY RIDE HOME PROGRAM

What is Emergency Ride Home?

The Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program provides free taxi service in emergency situations for registered commuters in Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie Counties 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Think of it as "commuter insurance."
 
Who can participate? 

 

The program is available to commuters who carpool, ride transit, bicycle, or walk to campus at least three times a week. Each registered ERH program participant is allowed up to six free emergency rides per year. An original voucher must be given to the taxi company to utilize the service.
 
How Can You Start?

Once your ERH registration is approved, you will receive your ERH vouchers in the mail within seven to ten business days
